Lawyers’ Assistance Program, Inc. is a not-for-profit corporation, created by the Illinois State Bar Association and the Chicago Bar Association, that helps Illinois lawyers, judges, law students, and their families with alcohol abuse, drug dependency, or mental health problems. Its services include education, information and referral, peer assistance, and intervention. The Lawyers’ Assistance Program recognizes that addiction and mental health problems significantly impact a professional’s ability to function in a legal setting, and considers it the responsibility of the legal profession to assist its members who suffer from such impairments. Confidentiality and privilege regarding contact with and treatment provided by the LAP are guaranteed by Illinois law and the Illinois Rules of Professional Conduct.

Evanston Therapy Group is the group therapy practice of which CareForLawyers.com is a part. In addition to services for lawyers and law firms, Steve, Gayle and Alan provide therapy and counseling services for adults, adolescents, couples, families and groups in all walks of life.

Victories of the Heart, NFP is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian organization devoted to providing group experiences for men, to help them develop deeper self-understanding, better relationships, and brighter lives. Steve and Alan co-lead weekends for men under the auspices of Victories, and Alan is a member of the Board of Directors.

The Women’s Circle is a not-for-profit, non-sectarian organization that offers weekend retreats for women in all walks of life, for emotional renewal and the rich warmth of deep connection. The Women’s Circle has a strong commitment to building community and offering a relaxing, empowering experience.

The Full Picture helps organizations identify the business issues that prevent individual leaders within organizations from achieving the company’s goals and objectives. The process can assure that the individuals within the organization clearly understand and manage the personal issues that prohibit them from helping the company reach or maintain its goals and objectives.
